На мой взгляд группа оч хороша,довольна тяжела для обычных групп с женским вокалом,но и полегче чем все из этого направления музыки...вообщем, советую вам....

In the music industry unknown bands recognize the difficulties of
getting a foot in the door, and are prepared to face the
near-impossibility of getting a second listen from a promoter or
studio manager. But the Ahwatukee Foothills girls of Eyes Set to
Kill (ESTK), an up-and-coming hardcore band, faced an even bigger
challenge as an all-female founded and fronted band within a
male-dominated genre. We couldnt even find drummers and screamers
to complete the band, said 17-year-old Lindsey Vogt, lead
vocalist. Musicians would look at us and just not take us
seriously.

Alexia Rodriguez, 18-year-old lead guitarist and vocalist and
recent Desert Vista graduate, said taking their music seriously is
not a problem for them. In fact, the girls say, its quite the
opposite. The guys that we did eventually find didnt want to do
any of the work, they werent dedicated to the band, said
17-year-old Anissa Rodriguez, bass guitarist for ESTK. Anissa is a
senior at Desert Vista and Alexias younger sister. We needed the
whole band to contribute, said Vogt. They just wanted to come and
play and have things happen for us, and it doesnt work like that
you have to be really committed to what youre doing.

For the girls, contributing to the success of the band means
staking out other bands shows and malls to pass out fliers,
updating the bands online profile and answering messages and
e-mails from dedicated and potential fans. Its a lot of work, and
[past members] didnt want to do any of it, said Anissa. Despite
the bands struggles to hold down a permanent drummer and find a
scream vocalist, ESTK released its first CD last month, hosting a
CD-release party that they paid over $3,000 for out of their own
pockets.

We had to pay for the recording, pay for the CDs that we handed
out for free, pay for the CD cover art, the fliers, said Vogt.
After that we were so broke. But the girls hard work and searching
paid off; they found scream vocalist Brandon Anderson, and theyll
be leaving for a tour of California, Texas, New Mexico and
Oklahoma in mid-July. In the meantime, the band will shoot their
first video this week, and play the local band stage at the
popular traveling summer rock-fest Vans Warped Tour no easy feat
for a virtually unknown band. The owner of the local stage only
picked five bands from each state, and he picked us to play in
Arizona, said Alexia.

The bands recent accomplishments and recognition come as no
surprise to Zach Yoshioka, manager of ESTK and owner of the video
production company Ballistic Entertainment. I look for bands that
have an edge, not the ones that just follow the trends, said
Yoshioka, who will be shooting ESTKs music video. Yoshioka said he
became intrigued by the band after seeing them play several times,
holding their own while sharing stages with line-up after line-up
of all-male bands.
They have a bigger and better draw than any of those bands.

Since their formation in 2004 Eyes Set to Kill have taken the punk-rock and
hardcore communities by storm. In less than two years this Arizona based five
–piece has become one of MySpace’s 1 unsigned bands, shared stages with many
of the scene’s hottest bands and released one of the best selling independent
releases for many online retailers.

Originally conceived by as the two piece of consisting of Alexia Rodriguez
(Lead Guitar, Vocals), and Anissa Rodriguez (Bass Guitar), this Phoenix, AZ
screamo outfit attempted to create a unique sound that would combine the
soft, melodic feel of female vocals and gut-wrenching screaming, backed up by
powerful instrumentals with a post-hardcore influence.

“Having a screamer and a melodic singer has just always been our vision. We
wanted to try something different because we didn’t want to be the typical
screamo band,” says bassist Anissa Rodriguez. “We didn’t try to make our
songs a certain sound. We play what we feel.”

Searching the local area for talented and dedicated musicians to create this
sound the group was frequently ignored and turned down by sexist musicians,
despite their obvious talent and potential. The girls were classified,
stereotyped, and rejected by the ignorant music scene before their demo was
given a mere listen.

“People just assumed we were going to be just another chick band that has no
musical talent," Rodriguez says. "Since we were girls, no one took us
seriously and assumed that we couldn’t play and write good songs.”

After struggling to be heard for what seemed an eternity, the girls found
their missing pieces in early 2006 with the addition of Greg Kerwin,
(Guitar), Brandon Anderson (Vocals), and Caleb Clifton(Drums) to an already
blistering line-up. From there the band would shared stages with the likes of
Chiodos, Bless the Fall, Goodbye Tomorrow, My American Heart, and Greeley
Estates and even did a stint on the Warped Tour.

“We booked our first tour this summer completely through MySpace,” says
Screamer Brandon Anderson about the young band embracing a ‘do it yourself’
work ethic. “The band operates our own MySpace; reply to all comments,
messages, and friend requests and does a lot promoting. Our manager made our
DVD, music videos and live videos. We do everything on our own and don’t wait
around for anyone.”

With a intense live show and a desire to make things happen on their own
terms, Eyes Set To Kill entered the studio to record a mind-blowing EP with
acclaimed Larry Elyea [32 Leaves, Bionic Jive]. The result is a crushing EP
that unleashes a whirlwind of melodic guitar riffs that violently flood into
the ears of listeners, emotionally capturing screams and hypnotizing melodic
vocal hooks that speak of seethe with emotion.

Шикарнейшая группа... такое прекрасное сочетание приятного женского вокала, ярстного скрима и тяжёленькой музычки, что просто радует слух... особенно нравятся песенки Reach, Darling, Where We Started...

Хотя по началу подумал: так себе... но потом слушал, слушал... и понял что группа отличная... Костян её мне и посоветовал, за что ему и спасибо...

а так ничего особенного голосок попсовый, да и музон ничем не выделяется.
